Jabil has released its new site for best practices called ePromote.

The Strategic Technology Systems group was approached by Lean Six Sigma Deployment Manager Justin Barr in April to create a new version of ePromote in SharePoint. ePromote is a tool that allows Lean Councils to determine which projects should be highlighted to encourage global visibility and allow eKaizen users to filter Best Practices based on their area of interest.
“The Lean best practices tool ePromote is moving to SharePoint in August, with numerous enhancements over its previous version… This platform encourages greater collaboration between teams and a higher degree of standardization, innovation and recognition. Kudos to Chandra Kollipara (Lead SharePoint developer) and James Harvey (Lead Designer from STS UX Design) for building this custom SharePoint solution.”
–Justin Barr, Lean Six Sigma Deployment Manager for Jabil’s EMS division
From a series of initial requirements meetings, a prototype was rapidly developed and iteratively refined for usability with stakeholders and sponsor users prior to development. To follow the new Jabil unified design language, Jabil Bootstrap was implemented as the framework.
The project was completed on time and under budget.

As the lead designer for the ePromote project, I employed the following UX process and methodology:
- Stakeholder interviews
- Heuristic analysis of existing application and process
- Site mapping
- High fidelity Wire framing and prototyping
UX/UI Tools used:
- Adobe XD
- Hand coding/styling of component templates (HTML/CSS) for hand off to SharePoint developer
